Pralinqa
Once upon a time, a Q Burger bar opened in Jablonec nad Nisou, which quickly became a favorite spot for foodies. And it was the burger bar's customers who gave the owners the idea to offer something sweet as well. Cakes were too bulky, and classic chocolate was too ordinary. As natives of a city with a rich tradition of costume jewelry, they asked themselves: why not combine the art of our ancestors with chocolate? Why couldn't chocolate look like glass jewelry? And so pralines were created, whose design pays homage to Jablonec glass beads.
The pralines have a shelf life of eight to ten weeks, but they taste best when fresh. The secret of their exceptional taste lies in the fact that no preservatives or artificial additives are used in their production. They believe that pralines should taste like the ingredients they carefully select.
If they use vanilla, it is the best from Madagascar. Their hazelnuts come from Piedmont, almonds from Avola, and pistachios from Bronte, where only one percent of the world's production is grown at the foot of Mount Etna, but it is the highest quality. And whatever they can get here, they source locally. For example, their lavender comes from a farm in Raspenava in the foothills of the Jizera Mountains and is flawless, and their sea buckthorn comes from a farm near Turnov. Their chocolate comes from Michel Cluizel, one of the last family-owned chocolate factories in France, which has been carefully selecting cocoa beans with fair trade in mind for four generations.
These pralines are also unique in their design. Each one is inspired by glass beads that were produced in the vicinity of Jablonec nad Nisou in the last century. They draw inspiration from old patterns, whether from the 1970s and 1980s or even more than 120 years old.
Come and taste these unique sweet treasures, lovingly made for you right here in Jablonec.
