Precious stones from the Bohemian Paradise

The brothers Jan and Václav Fišers from Turnov. Their alleged voyage to Venice, five years of efforts to seize the local secret of secrecy, return to Turnov, dozens of wasted attempts and then - finally success! In 1711 they made the first glass for the production of artificial stones.

THE GLASSHOUSE IN NOVÝ SVĚT

It was in 1712, when Elias Müller built his glassworks on the estate of the Harrach Counts in Jilemnice. It continued in the traditional production of glass, which was produced on the border of the Giant Mountains and the Jizera Mountains in the middle of the 14th century. Even today, you can see not only metallurgical production and blowing glass, but also a hundred-year-old grinding shop. It is driven by a water turbine and transmissions used to distribute the driving force.

ELIAS PALME

Elias Palme, one of the most famous luminaire manufacturers, continued the tradition of chandeliers in Kamenický Šenov. Industrial production of chandeliers was started in 1724 by Josef Palme in Prácheň.

ELDORADO OF BEADS AND SEED BEADS

Surely you would not find in the whole Principle and in the broad surroundings of a person who would say a crooked word about Jan Šourek. After all, it was as if he had come to the Principle of Prosperity and Welfare. As soon as he took possession of the reeve, life in the village began to turn for the better. He was one of the first to venture into the world for business.

JOSEF RIEDEL

Josef Riedel, king of the Jizera Mountains glassmakers, was born in Hejnice in 1816. He was the representative of the sixth generation of the glass family and imprinted his footprint indelibly on the slopes of the Jizera Mountains.

FRIEDRICH EGERMANN

JOSEF PFEIFFER

Josef Pfeiffer - Jablonec entrepreneur and mayor, who was involved in the development of jewelery exports. Everything is confirmed at the imperial court and in 1866 Jablonec became a town during his reign.

BLOWN BEAD and its way to the tree

People can make sense of time and numbers, but not us, beads. However, I have heard that they have been blowing me in the mountains for more than a hundred years. As a bead would put it, that is a long time. You, who have never seen how a bead is born, you don´t know how beautiful life can be....

MELTED GLASS SCULPTURE

Family company Prousek Exclusive Lighting Ltd. was established in 1989. Based on traditions in this region, the company was founded by father and son Václav and Petr Prousek. Thanks to the father's experience, his son's enthusiasm and craftsmanship, a company was created that not only produced but also had a shop in Jablonec nad Nisou. Over the years, other family members joined the company together with other co-workers. At present, the company has been operating for three generations of Prousek family. Chandeliers have become their life - livelihood and love.
Company´s headquarters are located in Nový Oldřichov. The production has been based here from the very beginning. We emphasize honest human labour and skills of Czech people that has developed in this region for centuries. We use quality materials, hand-cut lead glass, brass and cast components, we polish by hand, clean in ultrasonic washer, paint with special varnish designed for all types of climate and at the end, we fire in the kiln. All this is done by several experts, so the production can take several weeks or months. It depends on the size and complexity of the chandelier. We offer crystal, strass, cast chandeliers, the combinations of crystal and casting, brass, enamel and overlaid chandeliers. The production of chandeliers is our priority. However, we are interested in new 21st century technologies. Therefore, we can also produce an original chandelier.
Every production starts with a customer´s idea and wishes, intention and location intended for chandelier. We cooperate with designers and customers to create a chandelier that would become a jewel of the customer´s home. So, we produce small chandeliers for households but also several meters long light installations for restaurants, hotels and churches.

You can see our products in the Gallery Prousek in Prácheň, Kamenický Šenov.

The Gallery Prousek is located in Prácheň, Kamenický Šenov. We bought the building eight years ago. It was in disrepair, but with historic roots leading to Palme. Theodor Palme ran his chandelier business here. Historic images, obtained from family descendants, show that the building looks almost the same, except for small changes.
Our Gallery is located next to the high road with parking spaces for customers. The whole Gallery is barrier-free. The Gallery is divided into two parts. In the central part, you can buy traditional chandeliers, such as crystal, strass, cast, brass and then lamps, candelabras and stands produced by our company. We also offer traditional products made by our glassmakers (vases, carafes, sets of glasses), as well as some art objects from local artists and some nicknack for joy. In the second part, the lounge, you can see several meters long crystal chandelier. In the lounge, we let artists present their artwork. The staff will be happy to answer your questions and offer coffee.
