RATAS Justyna Ratasiewicz
Justyna Ratasiewicz Born in 1980 in Kościerzyna in the Kashubia region, Justyna Ratasiewicz graduated in Economics from the University of Szczecin and later completed postgraduate management studies at the Higher School of Logistics in Poznań.
From an early age, she demonstrated manual and artistic talents, but her professional path took a different direction. In 2010, she moved to the Karkonosze Mountains, and three years later, she discovered her passion for glass while attending workshops at the Municipal Cultural Center in Jelenia Góra, where she learned techniques for creating stained glass and glass mosaics.
Since then, she has developed her skills, expanding them with advanced glass fusion and shaping techniques, such as fusing and slumping. In 2020, she opened her own art glass studio, Ratas, in Piechowice. Her glass pieces blend art, craftsmanship, and design, with many being unique, one-of-a-kind creations. Her works often convey joy—an emotion easily overlooked in everyday life.
Through shapes, colors, light, and reflections, she strives to bring a touch of joyful energy to interiors, enlivening spaces and adding a positive atmosphere. Her works have been recognized at international exhibitions, such as "1000 Vases" in Paris and Cluster Crafts in London. She is currently expanding a gallery and workshop space adjacent to her studio, aimed at passing down artisanal knowledge in an era of advanced technologies.
