Eva Edler Glass Art
In her small studio in Rudník, surrounded by the beauty of the Krkonoše Mountains, Eva Edler creates glass paintings, panels, and small decorations using the fusing method – layered glass. She likes to use the technique of frit painting, or powder painting. This is a little-known glass art technique that uses powdered glass (frits) of many colors to create images that are then fired in a kiln. These paintings can be as rich in color and texture as traditional painting techniques. They can also take advantage of all the unique properties of glass, such as light transmission and reflection, which other paintings cannot. The author is a student of the world-renowned glass artist Miriam di Fiore from Italy, who teaches her how to understand glass and how to communicate with it, because glass also has its own language and soul...
