Lighting
The manufacture of chandeliers and light objects in the Crystal Valley has a tradition of over 300 years. As early as 1724, Josef Palme received a license for the production of chandeliers, so industrial production started in Prácheň (district of Kamenický Šenov). The production of Bohemian crystal flourished and its splendor began to enchant Europe. Shortly thereafter, Bohemian crystal lights became a coveted object and adorned the homes of many prominent families. Today astonishing chandeliers are made not only in Kamenický Šenov, but also in Turnov or Jablonec nad Nisou. The world is often amazed by giant light installations that combine art, craft and state-of-the-art technology.
