The Museum of the Bohemian Paradise in Turnov specializes in gems and its processing (stonemasonry), which is a typical craft in the region. You can find here geological-mineralogical exposition that introduces the colourful world of minerals. The examples of cut and engraved gems represent the technology of processing. You will be able to see some historic jewellery as well, accompanied by jewellery that has been produced since 1984 for the International Jewellery Symposiums in Turnov. In an underground treasury, there you can find an exhibition of luxurious historical jewellery set from the collection of Turnov School of Applied Arts. The museum is a living institution that actively and interestingly introduces the history, revives traditions and crafts by organizing craft workshops, provides entertaining and educational programs for children and adults. An attractive destination has become an exposition of mountaineering – “From the Czech Paradise to the Tops of the World”. It is a new outstanding exhibition for lovers of rocks and mountains.
