Congratulations to artist Josefína Váchová on winning the "Glass Oscar!"

At the 16th annual Stanislav Libenský Award prestigious competition held at Prague's Clam-Gallas Palace, she received the competition's grand prize for her installation Bilancio, a poetic dialogue between glass and paper.

Josefína Váchová is a 27-year-old graduate of the Department of Design at the Technical University of Liberec and the Secondary School of Applied Arts for Glassmaking in Železný Brod. Balincio is her diploma project.

Second and third place in the Stanislav Libenský Award went to Japanese artists Honoka Wakana and Hinata Arai.

The trophies for the Stanislav Libenský Award, designed by Jiří Šuhájek, were created in Nový Bor at Novotný Glass!

The Clam-Gallas Palace in Prague is now presenting the work of 50 finalists from 17 countries, including Josefína Váchová, in an exhibition that runs until January 10, 2026.
