Kunc Glass
I came into this world as Zdeněk Kunc in 1983 in Chřibská, and I vaguely remember that I had a glassblowing pipe in my hand. From an early age, I was drawn to exploring the secrets of the oldest glassworks in Europe (1414). While studying in Nový Bor, I hitchhiked across Europe with glassmaking tools in my backpack, gaining experience in glassworks in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Sweden. After nine years of study, I became a master craftsman in glass blowing and cutting.
After years of doing repairs ourselves, my family and I are now fulfilling our dream. We are moving the glassworks and gallery to the oldest house in Radvanec, number 1. The former magistrate's office from the first half of the 17th century, where horses were originally changed on the old Zittau trade route, exudes the spirit of the times. The combination of beautiful spaces and traditional glass production, which you will soon be able to see and experience here in workshops, tours, or simply by walking around and peeking through the open doors, will delight us as much as it will delight you.
We specialize in custom-made artistic glass, such as trophies, lighting fixtures, decorative objects, and utility glass. We showcase our craft throughout the Czech Republic at fairs, city festivals, Christmas events, team-building events, etc., using our mobile glass furnace.
Come and experience Radvanec, wander through the surrounding deep forests, swim in the streams, climb the rocks, and admire our glass.
