Exhibition of glass beauty opens on Saturday 31 May 2025 at the chateau in Světlá nad Sázavou

Glassmaking is a piece of honest craftsmanship and it has been in the Highlands for centuries. Where else but in the glass town, in the chateau premises, to present an amazing and diverse exposition of almost 70 glass objects and jewellery. 23 glass artists will present their works here.

The travelling and selling exhibition "Touches of Glass" is the first of a series of exhibitions that are intended to surprise visitors not only with glass exhibits, but also with the story that the curator of the exhibition, Leona Bušková, wants to tell about glass.

It is the story of an encounter with glass, which suddenly becomes something that does not want to stop - like a perpetual motion machine. We get to know a material that has many faces. It appears in art, design, architecture, jewellery and everyday life. Glass is part of our lives, even if we often don't realise it.
The story that doesn't end begins now - with the touch of glass. Quite innocently. Open your eyes and follow with your heart.

The accompanying programme will include guided tours.
The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
