Handmade glass production is heading for the UNESCO list! We will find out if it succeeds on Wednesday 6 December 2023.
The joint nomination of France, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Finland and the Czech Republic was recommended for inscription on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on 6 November. The actual approval is now in the hands of an international committee which will meet on 6 December in Botswana, Africa.

According to the published agenda, the discussion of the nomination of Handmade Glass to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is scheduled for the afternoon session on Wednesday, 6 December.
