The first annual Josef Riedel Crystal Legacy event – not only in honor of the glassmaking king of the Jizera Mountains, who was born in Hejnice.

Come and take a peek behind the scenes of the glassmaking craft. On Saturday, October 11, creative workshops, glassmaking demonstrations, and glass product sales await you at the Hejnice Elementary School and in the park in front of Josef Riedel's birthplace.

You can look forward to Florian's mobile glassworks, Perlex and Bead Game workshops, and demonstrations of cut glass from the Glass Pesničák workshop.

From 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., you can visit the interactive station of the musical duo Flaškinet and try tuning and playing your own mini-flaškinet or take part in a quiz about bottle music.

At 4:00 p.m., this musical duo will move to the Hejnice cinema, where they will continue with a separate performance.

At 5:00 p.m., the event will conclude with a talk by Petr Nový, historian and chief curator of the Museum of Glass and Jewelry in Jablonec nad Nisou, about the famous Riedel family.

During the event, a variety of refreshments will be provided in the form of grilled chicken from Tadeáš Hradil, sweet pastries and homemade lemonades from the Vločka café, and specialties from the Rezek brewery.
