Opening of the exhibition BRAUNEROVÁ RELOADED
Program
The Central Bohemian Museum in Roztoky and the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Železný Brod invite you to the opening of an exhibition, which will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the castle. The opening will feature a demonstration of glassmaking techniques, and visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase products made by the students.
The exhibition by students of the Secondary School of Applied Arts for Glassmaking in Železný Brod presents works inspired by the personality and work of painter, graphic artist, and designer Zdenka Braunerová (1858–1934) – an exceptional woman of Czech culture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. In their work, the glassmaking students focused on themes that Braunerová developed throughout her life: the connection between art and nature, respect for craftsmanship, and the search for personal expression. The exhibition offers the contemporary perspective of the younger generation on the legacy of an artist who managed to combine tradition with modern sensibilities and inspire courage to create across disciplines.
