We warmly invite you to an exhibition of works by graduates of the 1972–1976 art class at the Secondary School of Applied Arts for Glassmaking in Železný Brod.
Since the 1970s, the graduates’ professional careers have taken various directions; consequently, the exhibits on display represent not only a diverse range of glass-making techniques, but also other artistic disciplines closely aligned with the distinctive personalities of the individual artists. Visitors can view original glass objects, artefacts from the fields of applied art and artistic craftsmanship, as well as photographs, prints and paintings.
The impetus for this joint gathering and subsequent exhibition activities came from the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the SUPŠS school, which took place in 2020. It was then that a group of graduates first presented their work to the public with the exhibition ‘Dobrý ročník’ at Kittel House in Pěnčín.
Come and see the work of these artists, whose artistic journeys are united by a shared foundation at the glass school, yet also reflect decades of individual development, experience and creative freedom.
